A Few of my Favorite Things

Morning! I got up pretty early today for me, so I figured I'd make a post about some trends that i'm noticing and really loving.

 First up: knee highs. I've been noticing this trend allot on one of my favourite fashion sites, Lookbook.nu, where basically a bunch of people upload pics of their daily outfits. Almost every other post has some knee highs in them, and I can tell why - knee highs are so versatile! They're sexy without trying too hard, and they can be dressed up or down to create a very ladylike effect. I have a black pair that I wear over tights with my combat boots. I love love love them to death!

Second: high waisted, high detail shorts. This pair of shorts were featured in the Brooklyn noise pop band Sleigh Bells new music video for their single Comeback Kid (which I highly suggest you youtube, kuz their sound is kickin'). These shorts are from the UK brand Bambi and Manson, who's clothes have been in many magazines since their debut. However, unless you want to shell out 80+ dollars for these babies or any of her sisters, I suggest you run down to the store and pick up some fabric dye, bleach, and wreak havoc on a pair of your old jeans - I guarantee it will cost less.

Third: the high-low hem. I was kind of "iffy" when I saw this trend at first, but it's really grown on me. I find its the perfect spring cut because it's very fun and refreshing. Also, these high-low skirts are mostly made with very light material, so they catch the wind beautifully!
